The First Public Hydrogen Authority (FPH2) is the United States' pioneering public hydrogen utility, established through a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement between the City of Lancaster and the City of Industry, California.

is to transform the buying and selling of renewable hydrogen.
Currently, there exists a significant disconnect: large off-takers of renewable hydrogen want a seamless purchasing process without the burden of vetting projects, while major producers face the challenge of substantial upfront investments to initiate their projects.
We aim to bridge this gap and foster the growth of the hydrogen economy. As a member-driven organization, both off-takers and producers will gain transparency into the cost of hydrogen- ranging from production to delivery- and have control over their purchasing decisions, including the quantity and timing of hydrogen deliveries

By focusing on 100% green projects, we bypass many of the regulatory hurdles that obstruct the growth of hydrogen technologies and can offer better air quality, high paying jobs and economic growth through an expanded market with next generation technological innovation to the communities we serve.
Guided by our independent board of directors, FPH2 streamlines the process to scale the production of renewable hydrogen and its use by establishing a wholesale, transparent market convener that sellers and buyers alike can trust.
